Compensation Pay Range: $10.70 - $16.70 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
Essential Job Functions
Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, and others.
Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers with a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as directed.
Complete all assigned company training relevant to the position.
Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, answering all calls per policy, researching parts and quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, make correct change, and process credit card transactions.
Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, following company policies and procedures.
Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, and related tasks.
Perform various daily operational tasks such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, and similar duties.
Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after receiving corresponding training and meeting company requirements.
Provide in‑store services for customers, where state and local laws allow, such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing the charging system, scanning vehicle trouble codes, and replacing headlight capsules.
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate, provided driving record meets company eligibility requirements.
Perform any other duties assigned.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Required:
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
Desired
Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and the Weatherly Index system, and automotive sales or service experience.
ASE certification.
Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
