Summary of Responsibilities Perform assembly and installation of manufactured and purchased material, hardware and components to complete the interior and the exterior of the vehicle.
Key Activities
Receive, review, and interpret instructions, prints, and work orders for each unit.
Verification and inspection of interior and exterior assemblies and installations.
Operate small machinery and power, hand, and air tools to cut, shape, install and finish various assemblies within the vehicle.
Build, assemble, and install running boards and rub rails.
Build, assemble, and install fenderettes.
Build, assemble, and install rear step and step ends.
Build, assemble, and install curb and rear people doors (both traditional and sliding) including latches, door rods, door panels, windows, stainless steel, gasket, and striker pins.
Build, assemble, and install shelf, shelf track and shelf ends.
Build, assemble, and install aspirator pump.
Build, assemble, and install compartment closeouts.
Build, assemble, and install outside storage doors, latches, door rods, door skins, vents, gasket, and striker pins.
Build, assemble, and install the squad bench components and accessories.
Build, assemble, and install all interior trim.
Build, assemble, and install interior lighting.
Technical Skills / Competencies
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with small machinery, power, air, hand tools and tape measure.
Experience with assembly and/or construction work desirable.
Essential Physical Requirements
Complete all work as detailed in the summary of responsibilities at acceptable productivity and quality levels.
Demonstrate all technical skills/competencies and core skills at acceptable productivity and quality levels.
Demonstrate reasonable and reliable attendance.
Maintain any required licensures and/or certifications.
Operate all job-related equipment or machines at acceptable productivity and quality levels.
Successfully pass a post‑offer drug test, as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post‑accident drug and alcohol testing thereafter.
Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance; regularly walk, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel; frequently use hand‑to‑finger dexterity to handle objects, tools, and/or controls; occasionally stoop or crawl.
