Parts Specialist – O'Reilly Auto Parts
Join O'Reilly Auto Parts as a Parts Specialist and deliver a high level of service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management in achieving assigned tasks.
Compensation Pay Range Competitive hourly rate: $15.50 - $21.50 per hour. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance or premium pay in specific circumstances.
Essential Job Functions
Promote company customer service programs (Hi‑5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot).
Greet retail/walk‑in customers friendly and assist in merchandise selection.
Support managers and installer service specialists with professional customer service.
Complete assigned company training.
Manage phone service: answer calls, retrieve parts, quote prices, recommend premium items, and offer the Low‑Price Guarantee.
Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make accurate change, and process credit card transactions.
Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner per company policies.
Address and resolve customer complaints.
Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight reception, stocking shelves, fronting/facing, and cleaning.
Prepare new, core, and warranty merchandise returns; assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
Perform in‑store services for customers (install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules).
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle (must meet company driving eligibility).
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, Knowledge & Experience
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
Multitask on phone and in store simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications
Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, and automotive sales or service.
ASE certification.
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
