Location & Pay Location:

Village on the Park Denton, an assisted living with memory care senior community

Pay Rate:

$17/hr.

Full‑time schedule:

9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday‑Friday.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Complete all assigned maintenance work orders and prepare vacant resident rooms as directed by the supervisor.

Coordinate and assist with special projects as directed.

Monitor work performed by outside contractors to ensure it meets company standards.

Be available for 24‑hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled, carrying a pager or cell phone for on‑call duties.

Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, and ensuring all areas are tidy and functional.

Install appliances and equipment as needed.

Maintain the garden/yard, including mowing lawns and collecting trash.

Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, painting, minor plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and minor HVAC repairs.

Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems like ventilation to ensure they are working properly.

Check the functionality of safety systems such as fire alarms.

Work with other professionals during renovation projects to ensure everything is up to standard.

Report any safety or maintenance issues to the Director of Plant Operations, Manager on Duty, and/or Executive Director.

Ensure that safety standards comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.

Drive community vehicles to support resident needs.

Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.

Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene as per company policies.

Take on other responsibilities as assigned with a positive attitude.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

1–2 years of related experience.

Experience with painting, drywall, and general unit make‑ready tasks.

Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Experience using hand and electric tools.

Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and dexterity.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that meets insurance standards.
