Residential and Light Commercial Painter – YMCA of Lincoln, Nebraska
Join the YMCA of Lincoln as a Residential and Light Commercial Painter. This role supports the growth of our customer base by delivering quality painting work in residential and light commercial settings.
Overview Earn an hourly wage of $25–$40 or up to $1,200 per week based on your skills and availability. You will receive professional office support—including scheduling, customer support, and job tracking—along with access to a custom mobile application for scheduling and communication. The position also includes branded apparel and signage.
Responsibilities
Prepare various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, sandblasting, or other means as necessary.
Mix, match, and blend paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve desired colors, consistency, and drying properties. Caulk, putty, cement, or plaster holes and cracks.
Paint using brush, roller, spray gun, or other applicator. Prepare wall and hang paper or other wall covering material.
Determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.
Qualifications
Must have a current driver’s license and insurance.
Must possess tools, a work vehicle, and good references.
Must have experience in the remodeling or home repair trades.
Independent contractors must carry liability insurance and workers’ comp.
Must have a smartphone and internet access.
