Compensation Estimated first‑year total earnings: $65,000–$80,000 per year, including incentives and auto allowance/reimbursement.

Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing and strategically growing Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits’ business through influential leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

Achieve revenue, margin, and gross profit targets set by the Sales Director.

Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize company profits and determine ROI on focused initiatives.

Accurately analyze and project quarterly and monthly business for the assigned territory.

Provide conflict resolution, remove performance obstacles, and address relationship concerns among key accounts in the region.

Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and among the entire account base to stay ahead of competition.

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Manage and stay within a budget assigned by the company.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.

3–5 years of industry‑related sales experience.

Dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of state registration and insurance, and clean driving record.

Demonstrated strategic, analytical thought process and financial acumen.

Proficient using Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof.

Strong communication, organization, and commercial planning capabilities.

Ability to analyze data to anticipate issues and model solutions proactively.

Ability to understand supplier strategies and align them with internal and external teams.

Minimum 21 years of age.

Physical Demands

Sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device for a considerable amount of time.

Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.

Work week often exceeds 40 hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

May require occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40 lbs.
