Role Overview Mitsubishi Power Americas is a leading power generation equipment and storage solutions provider for the energy industry. Our goal is to empower our customers to affordably and reliably combat climate change and advance human prosperity using advanced gas turbines, hydrogen turbines, lithium‑ion and flow battery technologies, digital solutions, and renewable energy project development.

We are seeking a recent civil engineering graduate with a passion for structural design and a drive to build the future. As a motivated and detail‑oriented member of our dynamic team, you will contribute to exciting projects.

The Civil/Structural Engineer will collaborate with engineers and technical staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and structural analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations.

Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports under the guidance of senior engineers.

Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and the parent company.

Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support overall project proposals and bid strategy.

Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations.

Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements.

Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment.

Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates.

Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements.

Interface with internal and external teams to ensure design interface information for structural commodities is accurate and properly accounted for.

Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality.

Carry out other responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving project and organizational needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering is required. Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) certification is preferred.

Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318 is desired.

Experience with earthquake engineering concepts and tools such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD is a plus.

Travel 5 %.
