Shipping & Receiving Specialist – Bostik Middleton Salary Range: $38,600 - $49,920 (pending experience)

Sign‑on Bonus: $2,500

Health Benefits starting on Day 1 of employment

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (overtime may be required)

Responsibilities

Performs various warehousing and logistics tasks in support of Shipping and Receiving.

Utilizes the SAP system to receive raw materials, purchased finished goods, and packaging supplies.

Creates and applies required barcode label(s) for incoming materials per receiving procedure.

Scans and puts material away into designated storage locations.

Performs various shipping duties in compliance with company and customer specifications.

Follows Pick List instructions including customer requirements for pulling/staging orders and special requirements.

Keeps all paperwork neat and organized per process.

Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal transportation and environmental regulations.

Assists in maintaining accurate inventory by double‑checking quantities and item codes, reporting loss due to spills/damage, and recording discrepancies.

Supports site cycle counts and physical inventory requirements.

Reports spills or incidents that adversely impact safety or the environment.

Operates forklift safely following all departmental and plant safety rules.

Maintains acceptable level of housekeeping.

Accurately completes all required paperwork.

Assures compliance with all company policies and Corporate EHS safety and regulatory requirements.

Context and Environment

Work in a fast‑paced production environment where safety, accuracy and speed are essential.

Must stand, lift up to 50 lbs., and walk throughout the workday.

Comfortable with material handling equipment, hand tools and forklift trucks.

Use of computer for data management and training.

Accountabilities

Maintain equipment and report issues to leadership as needed.

Complete assigned tasks.

Use problem‑solving techniques to eliminate waste and errors.

Adhere to Bostik, OSHA, and local regulations/policies.

Remain current on all assigned training.

Qualifications / Experience Required

High school diploma/GED, ability to read English and perform basic math; 1–2 years’ experience in a warehousing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

DOT/IATA/IMDG certification to handle hazardous materials preferred.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Applications).

Forklift / aisle stacker experience.

Ability to operate automated and semi‑automated equipment.

Willingness to work an off shift and overtime as necessary.
