Overview We are seeking individuals for the part-time position, Independent Living Coach, with a passion for assisting adults with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
A Independent Living Coach provides supported services to support consumers to fulfill their individual personal plans, preferences, and desires
To increase daily living skills: meal preparation, medication support and health and fitness, money management
To maintain household: housekeeping, home safety, bill pay
To participate in community life: transportation training, socialization, personal safety, employment
To self-advocate: committee membership, resource agencies, advocacy groups
And more
Position Requirements
Have a minimum of one year of verifiable experience providing direct care services to individuals with development disabilities
Have basic computer skills
Have a valid Driver's License
Have reliable transportation and state-minimum auto insurance
Must have a good driving record
Own a Smartphone
Be able to pass an employment screening process
Be able to pass TB test and Health Screening
Have a valid First Aid/CPR Certification
Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Be at least 21 years of age
Speak, read, and write well in English
Have strong problem-solving skills
