Residence Life Coordinator

Responsibilities

Coordinate operations of a major residence hall area, including office administration, property management, community development, policy enforcement, programming, and personnel administration.

Manage all administrative processes for the facility, including room assignments, room changes, contract releases, student files, key control and work orders.

Select, train, supervise, and evaluate administrative staff and student assistants.

Plan and evaluate programs and educational and community‑building initiatives for student staff.

Act as on‑call emergency responder and coordinate duty rotation for the campus student population.

Enforce Residential Life, Housing, and university policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Counsel students concerning conduct, safety, sanitation, and behavioral improvement.

Provide leadership development for hall and floor council members through training and mentoring.

Maintain daily office hours; ensure high visibility with students and staff during department and university functions.

Serve as liaison with other departments to coordinate student leadership and educational opportunities.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or

specialized training program; education may be accepted in lieu of experience.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of directly job‑related experience; preferred three (3) years of experience, and experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

Knowledge of policy enforcement, community development, and residence life operations.

Strong communication, coaching, and office management skills.
