$19.00/hr - $27.00/hr What You Will Do
This position is primarily a technician role with some sales responsibilities. The Suppression Technician II (also known as a Route Service & Sales Representative) will maintain a route servicing existing fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, e-light and pre-engineered and possibly engineered gas system customers. Inspect, service, repair and install 2 or more suppression product lines, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered and industrial systems according to safety requirements and manufacturer’s specifications. How You Will Do It
Make recommendations based on manufacturer’s specifications and state/local codes. Identify deficiencies. Quote, sell, and repair on-site. Up-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations. Up-sell and cross-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations. Required
What we look for
High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and have a good driving record. Must have or meet the requirements for an Extinguisher and pre-engineered permit. Willing and able to make cold calls to potential new business, approximately 2-3 hours per week. 1+ years of customer service experience. 1+ years of experience with service in the fire protection industry. Must be flexible with working hours, possible nights/weekends to meet customers' needs. Able to pass a drug and background check. Able and willing to be on-call one week per month for kitchen suppression. Willing and able to climb and work in awkward and cramped positions, working around kitchen equipment, stairwells, fire escapes, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and carry for up to 50 yards. Positive attitude, self-motivated, strong organizational. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred
2 – 5 or more years of experience with service in the fire protection industry. 2 - 5 or more years of customer service experience. Extinguisher and pre-engineered permit (plus) Kitchen suppression experience (plus) Keywords:
