is looking for a passionate individual ready to learn about our sales and support operations. The
Sales Trainee
will learn all business functions related to Butler Machinery’s equipment business and provide sales support across departments. Join our team and help deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Become fluent with all brands, equipment, and services in our Ag and Construction business.
Learn and become an expert user of business systems such as DBS, BMTS, and CloudLink.
Job shadow various departments at stores and corporate to understand processes, programs, procedures, and culture.
Develop relationships with specific customer accounts assigned to you, following a planned approach set by your manager.
Support Ag Product Specialists and Heavy Demo Equipment Operators with machine start‑ups or demos throughout the territory.
Complete all assigned online product training to become familiar with our product offerings.
Assist with setup and work at farm shows across the territory.
Travel as required: day trips to support neighboring stores, overnight stays for trade shows or training, and job shadows or support at corporate or other facilities.
Work within and promote the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Agri‑Business or a related major, or equivalent combination of business experience, training, and/or education.
Basic knowledge of agricultural equipment, current farming practices, heavy equipment, or construction/dirt work operations.
Basic knowledge of retail finance contracts and leasing.
Excellent motivation: a self‑starter with high energy to learn and achieve more.
Willingness to relocate as a CAM, Product Specialist, Demo Operator, or other associated jobs open across the BMC Territory (ND, SD, NE, MT).
