Survey Crew Member
We are seeking a crew member for a 2-person survey crew. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with utilizing robotic and GPS on a variety of field surveys. This person will assist in the accurate completion of a wide variety of types of land surveying projects under the supervision and direction of a party chief. Typical Duties
Use GPS, conventional survey instruments, and survey levels, along with other surveying equipment, accurately conduct field work on control, topographic, boundary and as-built surveys. Utilize level rod, prism pole or tape at designated points and be able to determine location and elevations. Carry out instructions and tasks assigned by the Party Chief or Survey Manager. Assist Party Chief in maintaining survey equipment and vehicles. Load crew truck with supplies on a daily basis. Record survey measurements and descriptive data, using notes, drawings, sketches. Remove brush and debris from survey line, and drive stakes into the ground. Work a full-time, 40+ hour workweek, Monday through Friday. Moderate travel may be required, with occasional travel planned on short notice. Job Requirements
1-2 years of land survey experience, preferred. High School graduate or GED equivalent. Able to work long hours, outdoors, under various field conditions and exposure to traffic, heat, cold and adverse conditions. Able to sit, stand, dig, and walk for extended periods of time on unlevel terrain. Able to carry up to 40 lbs of survey equipment. Able to pass a background check. Benefits
