Intermediate Architect
Lorcan O'Herlihy Architects [LOHA]
is hiring an Intermediate Architect to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. Founded in 1994, LOHA is an award‑winning architecture and urban design firm that creates transformative architecture by centering social ideals and honoring the living history of local communities. With specializations in multi‑family and student housing, mixed‑use commercial space, cultural institutions, and more, we seek candidates who share our passion for design excellence.
Responsibilities include contributing expertise throughout all phases of project development, working closely with project leads and directors, running smaller projects with oversight, and collaborating within a creative office culture.
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch.) from an accredited institution
4+ years of professional work experience through all phases of design
Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, V‑Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong graphic capability illustrating schematic design concepts with models, renderings & diagrams
A strong, professional portfolio of student and professional work
Collaborative and proactive approach to team work
Ability to run semi‑autonomously with direction
Experience with consultant coordination
Ability to execute deliverables within a rapid project schedule
Capability of leading documentation of small projects and producing construction documents
Ability to express ideas clearly through a variety of media
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for design excellence aligned with the LOHA mission to elevate the human condition
U.S. citizen, green card holder, or other eligible work authorization
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a creative working environment with opportunities for professional growth, full health benefits, and a supportive office culture.
