SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a CDL Class A- Truck Driver. The successful candidate will operate trucks as directed, adhere to all rules and regulations, and follow Mortenson safety policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, and Tractor Trailer/Lowboy as required.
Follow prescribed safety regulations.
Maintain housekeeping in a clear and orderly manner.
Perform routine maintenance (lubricating, fueling, cleaning).
Detect machine malfunctions by observing equipment operation.
Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
Build and maintain effective relationships across diverse backgrounds.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current CDL Class A license and necessary endorsements.
Related construction experience preferred.
Strong teamwork orientation.
Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
Detail orientation.
Physical capability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts.
Knowledge of equipment and their uses.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Ability to work independently.
Active listening and effective communication, openness to diverse input.
Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
