What You’ll Do

As a Metal Finisher, you’ll be responsible for preparing, grinding, sanding, and polishing fabricated steel components to meet Raulli & Sons’ quality and safety standards. You’ll work closely with fabricators, welders, and shop leadership to ensure materials are properly finished, defect-free, and ready for fabrication, painting, or installation. This position is at our Kirkville shop located at 6333 N Kirkville Rd. Core Responsibilities: Use grinders, sanders, and hand tools to smooth welds, edges, and surfaces Inspect materials for imperfections and correct irregularities Clean and prep steel parts for paint, galvanizing, or field use Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, organized work area Wear appropriate PPE at all times Follow all OSHA and company safety policies Perform other shop tasks as assigned to support production schedules Requirements Previous experience in metal finishing, fabrication, or a related trade preferred High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Commitment to safe work practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance) Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and stoop throughout the shift Ability to perform repetitive hand motions and fine manipulation Work in a loud, indoor production environment with exposure to heat, vibration, and slippery surfaces Required PPE: steel-toed, slip-resistant boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirator (when required), and hearing protection What We Offer
