The Lube Technician is responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles. Responsibilities

Adheres to express lube guidelines. Performs lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating all joints, including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends and ball joints. Reports all necessary repairs to service advisor. Installs completed LOF reminder sticker in vehicle. Checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed. Checks coolant level and refills as necessary. Ensures that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints. Checks fluid level prior to release of vehicle to ensure proper levels. Maintains CSI at or above Company standards. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area. Participates in required training. Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system. Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values. Complies with Company policies and procedures. Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Desired Education:

GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree Field of Study/Work Experience:

Automotive (preferred), Accounting, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology Desired Work Experience:

up to 3 years, 3-5 years, 5+ years Education/Experience:

Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training or commensurate technical experience. Certificates and Licenses

Valid Driver’s License Automobile Salesperson License Skills and Abilities

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system. Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Attendance Expectations:

Regular and predictable attendance. Shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, reach, and bend as required. Environment Demands:

Work in service area around vehicles; may be exposed to noise, fumes and other service conditions. Verbal and Writing Ability:

Read and comprehend instructions; present information to customers and employees. Math Ability:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic. Reasoning Ability:
