Nino Salvaggio is currently seeking an Assistant Produce Manager for our St Clair Shores location. Responsibilities:
Assist in directing and supervising all functions of the produce department to meet sales, gross profit, customer service, and labor goals. Oversee department operations, including training, ordering, attendance, employee policies, and discipline, in collaboration with the Produce Manager. Assist in managing and developing staff through interviewing, training, monitoring, and disciplinary actions. Plan produce distribution, merchandising, pricing, and stock rotation. Assist with inventory control and ordering. Verify received produce against vendor invoices for quality standards. Stock and rotate produce according to company standards. Coordinate with the Produce Prep department for optimal operations. Handle damaged and spoiled products per company policy and control spoilage levels. Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Reliable transportation is necessary. Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends. At least six months of related produce experience, including stocking and rotation. Knowledge of produce varieties, pricing, taste, and preparation. Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to bend, reach, and grasp frequently. Additional Benefits:
