Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused

Assistant Housekeeping Manager

to join our team at our prestigious hotel in 6th of October City, Egypt. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Director of Housekeeping to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards and ensure guest satisfaction throughout our property.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department, including public areas and laundry facilities

Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to uphold the highest cleanliness standards

Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, providing clear communication, coaching, and performance feedback

Implement and maintain efficient housekeeping procedures and protocols

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels

Promptly address guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and efficiency

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and enhance guest experiences

Oversee the lost and found system, ensuring proper documentation and handling of items

Assist in creating and managing staff schedules to optimize coverage and efficiency

Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and initiatives

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations

Adapt to changing priorities and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years' experience in upscale hotel housekeeping management

Previous experience in high-volume luxury hotels or resorts

Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a collaborative approach

Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in English

Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Knowledge of hotel room management systems (e.g., HotSoS, Opera)

Understanding of health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry

Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical capability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting and extended periods of standing or walking

Familiarity with local hospitality standards and cultural norms in Egypt

Adaptability and resilience in handling various challenges in a dynamic work environment
