Resident Services Aide – Casual/Per‑Diem

Schedule:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11:00 pm–7:00 am (per diem)
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Escort residents to meals, recreational activities, and other outings
Support residents in achieving physical, emotional, and psycho‑social well‑being
Help in the wellness area to ensure safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents
Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to instructions from the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness
Qualifications:
NY‑Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide
Experience assisting individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia is a plus
Must be able to speak and read English
Previous experience with geriatric population, providing assistance with ADLs, preferred
Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines
Basic understanding of dementia; patience and professionalism in redirecting residents
Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations in a positive way
Reliability, caring and gentle touch and demeanor required
Maintain respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times
Job type:

Pay:
$19 per hour
