Responsibilities
Building and developing a trusted team by guiding, supporting, and bringing out the best in crew members and shift leaders.
Maintaining a positive working relationship with all restaurant staff, fostering a cooperative and pleasant working climate to maximize employee morale, productivity, and efficiency.
Hiring, training, and developing shift managers and conducting formal employee performance reviews.
Ensuring the team is equipped to provide an excellent guest experience in all areas.
Utilizing the restaurant's profit & loss statements to optimize sales and profit by analyzing COGS and taking corrective action if necessary.
Maintaining inventory, projecting changes in demand throughout the year, and adjusting labor accordingly.
Ensuring the restaurant is properly staffed to drive sales volumes by preparing crew members’ schedules and approving schedules completed by assistant managers.
Responding to customer complaints promptly and appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Organizing and implementing local restaurant marketing as well as incorporating regional and national marketing promotions to increase restaurant sales.
Exercising good judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to the district manager.
Qualifications / Skills
Minimum of 3-5 years of restaurant management experience required; quick service restaurant experience strongly preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Strong sense of urgency, ability to thrive under pressure, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with a diverse crew and wide range of customers.
A proven track record of effective management demonstrated by previous COGS and labor management.
Detail-oriented with the ability to oversee and balance all aspects of a fast-paced and dynamic restaurant.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
