Save Job

At Baymeadows Baptist Church, located in Jacksonville, FL, we are preparing for the retirement of our pastor of over 30 years, and we are earnestly seeking the man of God He has chosen to serve as our full-time Senior Pastor.

About BBC BBC is an independent, fundamental Baptist Church that desires a Spirit-led preacher and teacher who boldly proclaims the Word of God, holds fast to conservative KJV doctrine, and leads with humility, wisdom, and conviction. We seek a pastor with a Christ-centered vision—faithfully tending to our current congregation while helping us reach new families and generations with the gospel, including leadership in our school ministry of 250 K-8th graders.

Key Responsibilities:

Preach the gospel, counsel the membership, oversee the spiritual welfare of the congregation, and direct worship services to ensure they are meaningful, accessible, and spiritually enriching.

Serve as School Principal for Baymeadows Christian Academy, overseeing daily responsibilities and promoting attendance and spiritual edification among students.

Develop and deliver biblically based sermons aligned with BBC’s doctrinal beliefs.

Lead growth and discipleship efforts for youth, young adults, and related ministries to meet their spiritual needs.

Build and manage social media accounts to promote church visibility and discipleship.

Collaborate with church leadership to establish and execute growth, outreach, and discipleship plans.

Serve as the spiritual and administrative leader of the church and school, working cooperatively with Deacons, Trustees, and other ministries to meet congregation needs.

Provide pastoral care, including hospital visits, counseling, and support during grief or traumatic events.

Supervise church and school staff, conduct evaluations, and recommend training as needed.

Manage church organization through planning, decision-making, delegation, evaluation, and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from an accredited institution.

Some seminary experience or working toward a Master of Divinity; counseling experience preferred.
