This position focuses on crafting, configuring, and optimizing control-system logic for a wide range of automated processes used in public-service infrastructure and municipal-scale operations. Responsibilities span the full project cycle—from design and software development to field validation and system tuning—across platforms commonly used in distributed automation environments. The role also supports integration of programmable controllers, supervisory interfaces, data-collection tools, industrial communication networks, and advanced motor-control technologies deployed within large-scale operational facilities.

AVEVA System Platform Ignition Perspective Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLCs Schneider Unity / Ecostruxure Control Expert PLCs Key Responsibilities
Build and refine PLC programs using major industrial platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Modicon, GE, Siemens or comparable systems). Configure supervisory interfaces and visualization environments across multiple HMI/SCADA suites such as Wonderware/AVEVA, FactoryTalk, WinCC, iFix, or similar ecosystems. Develop data-logging, alarm management, and reporting functions to support real-time insight and long-term analytics. Perform site deployment, functional testing, commissioning activities, and on-location troubleshooting for automated systems. Produce and maintain engineering documentation, testing records, system standards, and project closeout materials. Coordinate with project stakeholders, technical teams, and facility representatives to ensure performance objectives and regulatory expectations are met. Support communication infrastructure including industrial networks, telemetry equipment, and distributed control technologies. Prepare diagrams, system updates, engineering notes, and similar deliverables as required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline related to electrical, mechanical, or computing fields (preferred). 5+ years working in automation, controls, or a related technical specialty. 8+ years of direct PLC/HMI/SCADA programming experience is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of control logic, supervisory platforms, and industrial networking principles. Experience with municipal or mission‑critical utility environments (water, wastewater, environmental systems, transportation operations, etc.) is highly advantageous. Ability to travel up to 25%.
