Electrical Estimator
IES Residential is seeking a detail‑oriented Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic estimating team. This in‑office role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects through accurate cost estimation and collaboration with our team. Experience in Multi‑Family projects is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, with a focus on Multi‑Family developments.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and budgets.
Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to develop competitive estimates.
Review and analyze historical data to inform and refine estimation processes.
Assist in preparing bid packages, including proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation.
Monitor industry trends, labor costs, and material pricing to maintain up‑to‑date and accurate estimates.
Maintain clear and organized records of all estimates and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
Solid knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation techniques.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
