We are seeking an experienced and skilled
Custom Fabricated Steel Stair and Railing Installer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience installing custom steel staircases and railings in both residential and commercial settings. You will work with a variety of custom-fabricated steel components, ensuring precise fit and finish in every installation. While some fabrication assistance may be required, the primary focus is on
onsite installation . This is a full‑time, day‑shift position, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
Key Skills and Competencies
Minimum of one (1) year recent experience in steel stair and railing installation
Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and fabrication drawings
Experience with hand tools, power tools, levels, and laser layout systems
Comfortable working with custom-fabricated aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel
Able to perform minor onsite welding and adjustments (TIG/MIG)
Knowledge of field measurement and layout techniques
Strong attention to detail with high standards for fit and finish
Basic math skills including geometry and algebra for onsite measuring and adjustments
Ability to safely operate forklifts, lifts, and other equipment as needed
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to changing field conditions
Must be able to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal)
Comfortable working at heights and following strict safety protocols
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Install custom fabricated steel stairs, railings, and miscellaneous architectural metal elements
Perform onsite welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting as required for installation
Ensure precision and accuracy in alignment, fit, and finish of installed elements
Maintain a clean and safe jobsite, adhering to all safety guidelines
Communicate effectively with project managers, shop fabricators, and clients
Operate hand and power tools with confidence and care
Verify field measurements and adjust components as necessary
Troubleshoot onsite issues and propose effective solutions
Load/unload materials and ensure proper handling and protection of finished components
Qualifications We’re looking for a reliable, long‑term team member who takes pride in craftsmanship and precision. A minimum of one year’s experience in custom stair and railing installation is required, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform minor welding. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence are essential.
