Position Overview
The Wholesale Jumbo Underwriter reviews and underwrites Jumbo and Non-QM mortgage loan applications and property appraisals and evaluates the loans to minimize risk or loss within regulatory guidelines. Ideal candidates for this position will be experienced underwriting Jumbo and Non-QM loans, highly detail-oriented, and familiar with loan program guidelines. Essential Functions of the Role
Analyze and underwrite Jumbo and Non-QM mortgage loans within compliance guidelines and approved seller variances. Manage loan conditions and provide recommendations for underwriting waiver and eligibility exceptions. Communicate with loan originators and processors regarding loan status, approvals, suspensions, denials, and conditions. Maintain a pipeline of loans adhering to posted service level agreements. Remain current on loan program requirements and review documents for compliance. Other duties as assigned. Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Knowledge of regulatory requirements (RESPA, TILA, etc.) Strong communication skills Excellent organizational skills Highly detail-oriented Ability to work across organizational boundaries Strong decision making skills Advanced problem solving capabilities Strong critical thinking skills Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task Understanding of Government Loan Programs Experience Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years of mortgage underwriting experience required. Minimum of three (3) years of underwriting Jumbo and Non-QM loans with complex income analysis required. National bond program experience preferred. Education / Licensing Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred. Working Conditions
Fast-paced environment. Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant. Requires normal hearing levels (corrected). Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time. Requires sitting, bending. Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
