Travel Compliance Specialist Join Lynker Corporation, a leading provider of innovative solutions in weather and climate science, as a Travel Compliance Specialist supporting a federal contract with NOAA. This role is contingent on Lynker winning the contract, and an offer will be extended only after the contract has been secured.

The position is located within the Business Operations Division (BOD) and is responsible for all aspects of federal travel, including administrative tasks, interagency agreements, and support for OCM federal leadership.

Responsibilities

Provide professional, courteous, and timely travel coordination services—including domestic, foreign, invitational, gift and bequest, and conference travel—for approximately 110 federal employees and rotating invitational travelers.

Serve as subject matter expert on federal, DOC, NOAA, and NOS travel regulations and keep abreast of updates.

Act as the primary point of contact for all federal travel matters and prepare travel authorizations, vouchers, airline and hotel reservations, and rental car arrangements.

Coordinate and support travel requests and vouchers using E2 Solutions for OCM federal and invitational travelers.

Disseminate the most current travel information to staff and respond to audit inquiries.

Assist federal staff with obtaining, renewing, and processing passports.

Train new federal staff on E2 Solutions, travel regulations, credit card rules, and general travel processes.

Provide travel services for the OCM Director, Deputy Director, and Regional Directors as requested.

Advise on travel estimates, timing, and credit card issues; arrange and coordinate invitational travel.

Use the E2 Solutions online system to make travel arrangements, including hotels and transportation.

Serve as OCM subject matter expert and liaise with NOS/NOAA on conference packages.

Solicit input, develop and submit conference packages, and report on actual conference expenses.

Train others on preparation and reporting of conference packages; lead, coordinate, prepare, submit, and track all conference and group travel packages.

Respond to post‑conference audit inquiries and improve conference reporting processes.

Adhere to audit standards; package and submit travel packages to NOAA Finance for formal audit review (approximately 25% of travel packages and all conference packages).

Develop, propose, maintain, and update OCM travel processes and SOPs.

Assist with year‑end closeout and new fiscal year start‑up efforts.

Communicate and collaborate among travel coordinators, federal and contractor staff for status updates, guidance, and information.

Prepare financial steps for Interagency Agreements, Amendments, Annexes & Modifications; create line of accounting for new agreements; set up account codes in CBS.

Submit entire packages to NOS, update the Master Agreement Spreadsheet, and monitor approvals and funding disbursements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree.

5+ years of experience in a related business field.

Proficient computer knowledge with emphasis on Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Knowledge of federal travel laws, regulations, and policies.

Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills preferred.

Ability to build relationships with federal management, colleagues, and external partners.

Self‑starter who can work with limited guidance and oversight.

Experience supporting high‑level management and maintaining confidentiality of personnel and business data.

Ability to follow and update standard operating procedures.

Requirement to pass a National Agency Check (NACI) and maintain it throughout employment.
