Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Infrastructure Capital Program – Sr. Construction Manager to support our Facilities/Aviation/Transportation team. The Sr. Construction Manager is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, budget and operational interfaces of design and construction related activities for future infrastructure projects. The Sr. Construction Manager will also serve as an SME during the investigative period of assessing LAWA's existing aging horizontal facilities, planning, and working/coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring LAWA standards are adhered to long term.
Responsibilities
Experience in facilities condition assessments, issuing Task Orders to perform studies and other investigative services with the goal of assessing existing facilities.
Long-term planning and coordination of construction activities with other airport departments.
Managing RFI’s, Submittals, Changes, Quality Assurance, etc. on make-ready projects in preparation of major infrastructure improvement projects.
The Construction Manager shall have thorough knowledge of mechanical systems and horizontal facilities along with an understanding of applicable codes and permitting requirements.
Provide support in close out activities/administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other related field required.
Master's degree preferred.
Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or any other relevant professional licensure and/or certifications.
More than 15 years of experience in assessing facilities, preferably in an airport environment.
Experience in the construction of large aviation related projects at domestic and/or foreign airport locations.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
Proven leadership and management capability is required.
Good written and oral communications skills.
Word, Outlook, Office 365, which also includes Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity using PMIS systems.
Salary Range: $180,000 to $200,000 per year.
Work Environment: Onsite
Location: Los Angeles, California.
