We are currently searching for a Trailer Mechanic for our Salem, IL location! Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay Range: $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
Mechanical skills and abilities
The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
Tank service and repair
Trailer suspension installation and repair
Experience with air brake systems and repairs
Willingness to learn how to MIG/TIG weld on aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
Must be able to work in confined spaces
