The New Business Development role is responsible for managing territory growth through prospect engagement, along with identifying and aggressively prospecting new business accounts. This position requires an enthusiastic, positive and self‑motivated individual who can use sales tools and knowledge to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Responsibilities
Aggressively prospect & develop new customers within region territory
Meet and exceed individual daily, weekly and monthly sales goals
Create large cross‑branch and cross‑regional accounts
Identify and qualify new prospects and assess customer needs
Coordinate with Sales staff to identify and hand over Key accounts for ongoing retention, service and expansion
Manage & develop new relationships to grow revenue
Utilize online resources to generate new prospecting leads
Effectively manage, support and update all appointments to sales
Manage the territory through marketing strategies, including email and cold calls
Identify/educate/engage decision makers and key influencers
Follow processes with accuracy and attention to detail such as collecting data and updating CRM
Primary focus on new inspection accounts – eligible to sell all segments to new locations
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of B2B outside sales experience; industrial or manufacturing sales experience highly preferred
Strong business development focus, willingness to prospect and uncover new opportunities
Cold‑calling and new customer prospecting skills; lead generation experience
Strong relationship development and problem‑solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM for KPI tracking
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Abilities A passion for providing top‑notch customer service to our customers.
