The Territory Sale Manager is responsible for achieving overall sales objectives for the territory. To profitably develop and execute a sales strategy, to include the identification and generation of sales leads, customer contact and sales closure for assigned region. Responsible for execution of the company’s overall sales and marketing programs within the region and within generalized company policy. Travel required.
How You Will Make an Impact
Communicate regularly with all accounts.
Through market research, cold calls, customer contact and other means, identify additional sales opportunities for territory.
Prepare periodic reports and regularly updates database showing sales volume, potential sales and status of active pursuits.
Develop sales plans and strategy for active and potential pursuits.
Establish close customer contact to determine customer needs, and position the Company to satisfy those needs.
Represent the Company at industry trade shows and exhibitions where appropriate.
Give customer presentations and demonstrations of products.
Recommend product enhancements or changes based upon market feedback and increased sales potential.
Monitor the competition and reports actions and trends to management.
Serve as an Ambassador for the Johnston & Murphy brand.
Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have
4 - 7 years territory sales experience
Strong relationships with buyers, owners, and senior management of leading independent footwear retailers.
Proven ability to work independently and to develop appropriate goals and strategies.
Outstanding communication skills and unquestioned integrity and ethics.
History of success in prior sales experience.
Ability to travel extensively
