Responsibilities Programming/Scheduling

Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8am‑4pm (flexible based on program needs).

Participate in a 24‑hour on‑call rotation and serve as on‑call backup.

Follow assigned work schedule and site placement as determined by supervisors.

Attend on‑call shifts as required (evening, weekend, overnight, holiday).

Report to work during inclement weather or state emergencies.

Travel between sites as requested; mileage reimbursed per IRS guidelines.

Create and maintain 24‑hour coverage for assigned programs/IRA’s.

Maintain acceptable attendance as defined in the agency manual.

Supervision of Employees

Screen and interview Residence Aide/Assistant Residence Manager applicants.

Approve staff time‑sheet and leave requests.

Directly supervise Assistant Residence Managers and Residence Aides.

Complete staff evaluations at 90 days and annually.

Conduct monthly staff meetings.

General Program Oversight/Documentation/Record Keeping

Conduct and document inspections, audits, fire drills, and turnover checks.

Participate in and supervise Life Plan meetings and plan development (ISP, SAP).

Review habilitation plans, monthly notes, and Medicaid billing for compliance.

Conduct case conferences as needed.

Communicate resident health and safety updates with supervisors and caregivers.

Oversee diet, medication, appointments, and overall resident care.

Provide first aid and crisis intervention.

Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures in the manual.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Promoting Person‑Centered Living

Develop residents’ independent living skills through choice and self‑determination.

Uphold the Mission, Values, and Vision of ACHIEVE.

Train DSPs on quality‑of‑life outcomes and person‑centered practices.

Pursue ongoing education and training on person‑centered practices.

Teamwork

Maintain positive relationships across departments, parents, staff, and community partners.

Report health, safety, and program concerns to supervisors.

Attend all required departmental or agency meetings.

Documentation

Complete required documentation per regulations and billing practices.

Review records to ensure compliance with rules and policies.

Compliance & Accountability

Report incidents and complete investigatory summaries.

Identify and correct safety hazards and improper work practices.

Participate in investigations as required.

Comply with all state, federal regulations, and agency policies.

Follow universal precautions to reduce communicable disease exposure.

Training & Development

Ensure employees receive required agency and state training (First Aid, CPR, SCIP, etc.).

Maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, SCIP, and related trainings.

Attend required training, staff development programs, and committees.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services area plus 3 years of experience – or a combination of education and experience that exceeds the above requirements.

Special Requirements

Good analytical, interpersonal, written, oral, and communication skills with effective time management.

Willingness to work scheduled hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Computer literate with knowledge of agency operating systems and required software.

Ability to generate and present comprehensive written reports.

Sound judgment in normal and emergency situations.

Physically able to perform required duties and lift up to 50 pounds.

Valid driver’s license acceptable to agency insurance carrier guidelines.
