As a Real Estate Loan Processor at Sandia Area, you are responsible for delivering excellent service while maintaining personal accountability in your actions and behaviors. Reporting directly to the Real Estate Loan Processing Supervisor, the Real Estate Loan Processor is responsible for processing, reviewing, assisting with and electronically storing real estate loan documentation. The Real Estate Loan Processor works closely with loan officers and other stakeholders to facilitate the loan approval and closing process. Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance & Policy Adherence
Receives and reviews real estate loan applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with established policies and procedures Prepares Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures accurately and distributes them in accordance with federal consumer regulations Identifies and reports any suspicious activities, potential fraud and compliance violations to the appropriate channels Completes a review of Property Valuation Reports in accordance with established policies and procedures Prepares loan documents in accordance with the loan approval, regulatory compliance requirements and consumer elected products such as debt protection Funds and disburses home equity loan proceeds in accordance with loan instructions utilizing available automation or manual processes Department Operational Support
Performs home equity loan pre‑closing duties, including ordering and reviewing appraisals, preparing and sending disclosures within regulatory timeframes, ordering and reviewing title searches and flood certificates, obtaining updated homeowners insurance, and other required tasks Communicates with appropriate staff and borrowers to gather missing information, resolves discrepancies and provides updates on loan application status Responds promptly and professionally to borrower, appraiser and Title Company inquiries, providing exceptional member service throughout the loan process Ensures clear and effective communication channels are maintained with internal and external stakeholders Assists with background loan functions such as rate changes, HMDA, borrower insurance monitoring, mortgage releases, and mailing adverse actions Prepares and/or reviews loan documents to ensure timely closing Completes quality control audits as assigned Assists in Member First Mortgage quality control audits Assists in creating paper files for Member First Mortgage loan documentation May participate in special lending‑related projects as directed Ensures the Real Estate Loan Processing Supervisor is kept fully informed of department activities and any significant problems or concerns Transaction & Account Support
Performs home equity loan post‑closing duties, including funding the loan, assembling loan files, and following up on releases of mortgage and other required tasks Ensures that paperwork is uploaded, indexed and reviewed in the document imaging system timely and accurately Uses Document Tracking reports to verify all files are received from the branch level and all tracking checklists are complete Performs home equity loan post‑closing duties, including preparing and processing debt protection election or removal Ensures appropriate wet signature original documents are filed away accurately and timely Expectations of all Sandia Area employees

Expertise in basic lending procedures and real estate knowledge with a requisite understanding of financial institution operations Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail is a must Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment Proactive in seeking professional growth, embracing both formal and informal development opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability to new responsibilities Team‑oriented with a strong collaborative mindset, actively supporting team members and contributing to a positive and high‑performing environment Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to perform essential functions, including the ability to lift up to 10 lbs. as needed Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
