
Job Description
Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth, partnering with the GM to manage Team Members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from various suppliers, and directing drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Full‑time position.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for Team Members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust)
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
Read and interpret safety rules, operating instruction, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Understand and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Basic math accuracy: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, fractions, decimals
Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) effectively
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
Work assorted days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience A minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions. Formal or informal experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals.
Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certificates ASE Certification preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands Predominantly walking or standing; must be able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. Reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements: close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Usually inside; occasionally outside in weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. Exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration; noise moderate.
Position eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
