Position Overview The Warranty Specialist - Aftersales is responsible for managing and processing warranty claims across North America. This includes the technical evaluation of warranty requests, selecting and approving required spare parts, coordinating service interventions with our suppliers, and supporting the technical assessment and analysis of warranty cases to continuously improve our products. In this position, you will make decisions regarding warranty eligibility and contribute significantly to customer satisfaction and product quality through professional and efficient solutions.
This position will be based at our Houston, TX office in a hybrid capacity, with a combination of onsite & remote workdays.
Responsibilities
Manage and analyze warranty cases for INNIO Jenbacher products.
Select and approve necessary spare parts to ensure efficient and sustainable solutions.
Evaluate warranty claims from customers, both technically and commercially.
Coordinate service interventions with suppliers under the scope of INNIO warranty.
Proactively identify potential product improvements across the installed gas engine fleet and present technical issues in quality meetings.
Document and update warranty cases to maintain traceability and transparency.
Submit warranty claims to suppliers and support procurement in cost recovery efforts.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across internal departments.
Support root cause analysis activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrated experience as an Inventory Control Specialist, Service Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, or similar role involving inventory management, work order setup, and operations support
Prior experience in production, maintenance, or workshop environment strongly preferred
CRM and ERP experience, Salesforce and Oracle preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, & Outlook
Proficiency in English with the ability to read, interpret, and create documentation, reports, and compliance records.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong knowledge of inventory parts management, operational support processes, and workflow coordination to ensure efficient resource planning and timely execution of overhaul and repair activities
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external customers
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify bottlenecks and implement workflow improvements
Commitment to safety and environmental standards
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to work in office settings, including prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and navigating workshop areas. Must have clear vision for reading and screen work, effective verbal communication, and hearing ability for in-person and phone interactions.
