Job summary General Description
The Associate / Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting energy and infrastructure advisory assignments primarily in North America.
The individual will handle all aspects of financial advisory mandates, including the preparation of information materials, financial analysis, structuring, and day‑to‑day transaction management. Associates work closely with peer associates and analysts.
Additional responsibilities include supporting VPs and Directors with senior bankers and other product groups, conducting research and analysis on key industry sub‑sectors, performing financial modeling to optimize structures, and assessing transactions across various business structures. The role demands a self‑starter attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a large project team.
Key Responsibilities
Support deal teams in all aspects of financial advisory mandates, including coordination with external advisors, managing transaction timelines, performing diligence, preparing presentation materials, and leading development of financial models and analysis.
Conduct research, analysis, and prepare discussion materials to understand client and investor goals and to originate new business.
Provide transaction and origination support to senior bankers, client coverage teams, and build relationships with peers at clients and across bank products (e.g., M&A, DCM).
Lead and/or support analysts and associates in developing financial models, analysis, and assessment of transactions across capital, tax (including tax‑equity), and business structures.
Perform technical reviews of financial models and analysis to confirm integrity, consistency, and arithmetical accuracy.
Ensure compliance of all internal and external matters in accordance with banking regulations, policies, and FINRA regulations.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Salary Range:
$150K-$165K

Education Essential Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
Level of minimal experience 3-5 years
Experience Essential At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, commercial banking, consulting, or the finance industry.
3+ years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, commercial banking, consulting, or the finance industry.
Exposure to the energy and infrastructure sector and/or debt or equity transactions is preferred.
Extensive experience in financial modeling, valuation, and analysis, preferably in a project finance setting and/or for tax equity transactions.
Experience performing research and analysis on key industry sectors, analyzing financial statements, understanding legal, regulatory, and tax regimes, and synthesizing information.
Required skills
Ability to manage competing responsibilities and deadlines efficiently, even under pressure.
Results‑oriented with high attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and ability to take direction with limited oversight.
