The Middle East Investment Initiative (MEII), is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Washington DC with three regional offices in Palestine, Jordan, and Tunisia. MEII stimulates sustainable economic activity and long-lasting job creation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) by designing and deploying finance and technical assistance programs to benefit entrepreneurs and MSMEs. Founded with the conviction that the path to social and political stability in the MENA region requires a sound and sustainable economic base, MEII breaks from traditional aid models and designs innovative development finance initiatives that foster economic opportunities and dignity instead of dependency.
MEII- Palestine office is seeking qualified candidates to assume the position of a Senior business advisor, as follows:
The
Senior Business Advisor
will provide high-level strategic and operational advisory support to MSMEs in Targeted geographic area. The Advisor will work directly with business owners to identify growth opportunities, improve productivity, and design actionable strategies for market expansion, product innovation, and operational excellence. This position requires strong expertise in business development, financial planning, and MSME growth strategies, with the ability to translate market insights into practical business solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored technical assistance to MSMEs focused on: Market adaptation and expansion strategies , including identifying new customer segments or geographic markets Product development and diversification
to enhance competitiveness and meet evolving market needs Operational and process improvements
to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability Financial planning and cash flow management
to ensure business viability and growth readiness Conduct business diagnostics and market assessments to identify constraints and opportunities for growth. Support MSMEs in developing business plans, marketing strategies, and investment proposals. Provide guidance on operational restructuring. Advise on strategic partnerships, access to finance, and resource mobilization to support expansion efforts. Collaborate with the Tamweeli Assist team to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness of advisory services. Document case studies, lessons learned, and success stories to inform program learning and reporting. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance. Minimum of 10 years of experience in MSME advisory, business development, or enterprise growth support. Demonstrated expertise in market analysis, business expansion, product development, and operational improvement. Strong understanding of financial planning, and performance optimization. Proven ability to support MSMEs in improving competitiveness and scaling operations. Excellent advisory, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans. Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required.
