Title: Structural Professional Engineer (PE)
Position Type: Full Time, Salary
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 per year + bonus
Location: Waco, TX (in-office with flexible hours)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Structural Professional Engineer (PE) with expertise in steel and concrete design to join the team. This role replaces a retiring Lead Engineer and offers the opportunity to mentor junior staff, deliver a diverse portfolio of projects, and grow into senior leadership as the company expands through acquisitions and new offices. Responsibilities
Lead design of steel and concrete structures from concept through permit-ready drawings. Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure compliance and safety. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Provide technical guidance and mentorship for EITs and technicians. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to resolve challenges. Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections. Project & Process Excellence
Provide accurate estimates for time and resources during project intake. Drive efficiency in design approaches to save client cost/time. Stay current on codes, software, and industry best practices. Why Join

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (Master’s preferred). Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (or ability to obtain). 5+ years structural engineering experience with strong steel & concrete expertise. Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, or similar). Strong understanding of codes (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE). Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor staff, and manage deliverables. Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred
Experience with metal building systems. Background in cost engineering / value-based design alternatives. 3+ years of leadership or team management experience.
