Responsibilities
Verify and provide accurate electronic estimates on the cost of repairs on automobiles, enabling clients to determine fair settlement amounts.
Review each assignment by speaking with the owner or representative, researching records, and inspecting the vehicle.
Complete inspections/appraisals within established time frames.
Maintain high standards of professional conduct and superior service.
Stay current on local industry repair procedures, market pricing, and Department of Insurance regulations.
Submit detailed inspection reports summarizing damages and potential open items.
Identify potential and questionable damages and communicate findings with the client.
Plan and navigate daily routes efficiently using the Optimizer Automation tool.
Inspect all angles of the vehicle, both interior and exterior, visually and manually.
Establish repair requirements and cost estimates, and negotiate operations and cost of repairs.
Deliver a positive customer service experience to internal, external, current, and prospective clients.
Meet cycle‑time and quality KPIs in a fast‑paced environment.
Articulate decisions and technical knowledge verbally and in writing.
Operate as a self‑motivated professional with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
Wear professional business attire and maintain a suitable appearance when serving the public.
Requirements
1+ year field claims experience, including auto claims.
Electronic estimating experience using platforms such as Mitchell, CCC, or Audatex.
1+ year strong customer service and conflict resolution competency.
1+ year proven ability to work independently.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and adaptability.
Smart phone or other device capable of taking quality photos and transmitting them.
Preferred Qualifications
State licensing required (if applicable).
Appraiser’s license – if applicable to location.
Adjuster’s license – if applicable to location.
I‑CAR Certification preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Previous auto estimating experience required.
Mitchell, CCC, Audatex experience a plus.
Technical Requirements
CPU: Intel or AMD processor (4 core / 2.7 GHz or better).
Memory: 8GB RAM.
Storage: 128 GB SSD or higher.
Windows 11 Professional.
Resolution: 1920x1080 or better (minimum 1366x768).
Microsoft Office 2016/2019 or Office 365.
Google Chrome.
Smart Phone (released within last 4 years): iOS (Apple iPhone) or Android (Galaxy, Note, etc.).
Working Conditions
100% travel required within designated territory.
Operate a motor vehicle up to 8 hours daily, entering and exiting repeatedly.
Perform physical inspections of auto loss sites, working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Availability for catastrophic loss events and irregular hours; overnight travel a plus.
