Overview The Sales and Service Expert (SSE) delivers an outstanding and well-rounded sales and service experience to all guests and members through a compelling approach of offering membership, fitness and retail products and services. The SSE builds relationships and translates the value of 24 Hour Fitness product and service offerings, with a strong focus on behaviors that drive member acquisition and retention. The SSE delivers successful guest and member engagement and attainment of sales revenue goals.
Responsibilities
Executes the CARE sales model with each guest and relates how 24 Hour Fitness products/services satisfy their fitness needs.
Tours potential members through the club and describes facilities, equipment, services and amenities aligned to their fitness needs and goals. Ensures all guests are registered through the digital kiosk.
Communicates membership and fitness offers clearly using company-provided tools.
Enrolls guests using company sales techniques and protocol, and adheres to Membership Agreement Procedures (MAP).
On-boards new members and assists with retention activities to drive club profitability.
Consistently achieves or exceeds personal and team sales goals.
Prospecting and Lead Generation: obtains leads from within the community and through internal channels, promotes local and global campaigns, and uses a Lead Management System to track follow-ups.
Sets appointments for leads and potential new business opportunities; maintains daily planner to plan selling activities.
Communicates and promotes local and global marketing campaigns to leads and members.
Member Experience: partners with the Sales and Service Manager to provide a best-in-class member-centric experience, ensures friendly greetings, and assists members with questions or concerns; facilitates access to fitness offerings (personal training, group classes, 24GO content).
Maintains positive relationships with members and helps new members feel comfortable in the club.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
In-depth knowledge and experience with sales practices and techniques.
General understanding of the fitness industry.
Ability to work with computers and operate a POS system.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work as part of a team.
Independent, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of Membership System software preferred.
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
CPR and AED certification from an approved organization is required (within 60 days of employment).
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Work Experience
Prior experience in fitness or retail industry preferred.
1-2 years of experience in service sales preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Variable compensation: eligible for Fitness Sales and Membership Sales Commission Plans.
Benefits: health coverage and company-provided benefits; vacation accrual may apply; complimentary membership for all team members and eligible dependents.
Pay Range: varies by location and experience.
Organization Relationships Reports to the Sales and Service Manager. Communicates with club members, prospective members, and external vendors. This position has no direct reports.

Physical demands and environment: ability to work in a club, move about floors, and occasionally demonstrate activities; able to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays; able to work in a loud environment.
Travel: minimal travel may be required for training or lead generation.
