Product Specialist – Oxford, CT RBC Bearings Incorporated (NASDAQ: ROLL) is a leading international manufacturer of highly engineered precision bearings, components and essential systems for the industrial, defense and aerospace industries. The Product Specialist is responsible for developing sales for OEM products for both existing and new customers, executing the strategic sales plan. The role acts as the central point of contact between assigned customers and internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and value is delivered at all times, coordinating with all departments to achieve optimum results for RBC Bearings.
Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains quotes, contracts and responses for customers.
Contributes to business development and sales teams, supporting goals and priorities to achieve growth targets.
Supports resolution of identified customer issues and opportunities, identifying solutions to customer needs, working closely with Quality, Production and Engineering.
Develops and maintains strong relations with customers through regular contact including visits and phone calls.
Collaborates with field sales to ensure key customer initiatives are achieved and managed.
Supports the development and execution of the sales plan with support from the Product Manager and Director.
Develops a thorough understanding of company products to provide support to customers.
Supports the strategic sales plan, maximizing potential sales and profits for RBC Bearings.
Communicates monthly status of the business and progression of strategic initiatives to senior management.
Supports Product Manager and Product Director with contract negotiations as needed.
Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, Quality Control and Supply Chain to respond to customer needs.
Acts as voice of the customer within the company.
Develops and manages commercial and technical marketing data and customer presentations.
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, finance or related field.
Basic understanding of RBC products and pricing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle tasks and prioritize with minimal direction.
Computer proficiency with Excel skills.
2–5 years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required with major in engineering, marketing, finance or related field.
