We’re looking for an independent thinking, quick-thinking, outgoing and productive Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our Loss Prevention Team at 1 Hotel South Beach. The person in this role will manage all incoming and outgoing package duties related to hotel guests, residents, group conferences, and employee packages.
Responsibilities
Direct responsibility and oversight of shipping and receiving tasks. Receive, log, store, and deliver incoming packages addressed to registered hotel guests, residents, group conference business, and employees. Handle outgoing packages for internal and external business. Notify internal and external customers of packages in storage. Maintain constant communication via email and/or phone regarding all shipping and receiving matters with guests, residents, and staff. Direct communication with guests regarding lost and found items requiring shipping. Billing responsibilities for all outgoing packages. Ensure all packages being received are not mishandled and/or damaged upon receipt. Inform Loss Prevention Leadership of any issues or concerns. Conduct a weekly inventory of packages in storage.
About You
Passionate about safety and security with similar work experience. A post-secondary diploma, degree or industry-related certifications would be a plus. Experience in safety and security operations, a team player, detail oriented. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
