Phlebotomist III Float - Indianapolis, IN Schedule:

Monday-Friday 4:30AM-6:30PM (Rotational Weekends)

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.

In a phlebotomy float role, you will experience a variety of work across patient service centers and physician offices. This dynamic role lets you rotate to different sites and meet new people while developing your phlebotomy career. Pay Range:

$21.24+ per hour. Salary offers are based on factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities Job Duties:

Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate

Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams

Enter billing information and collect payment when required

Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource for new employees; act as point of contact on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor

Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites as needed

Qualifications Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Work Experience

Five years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Minimum 3 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred

Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred

Keyboard/data entry experience

Language

The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
