Overview
Fahrenheit Advisors is assisting Kirbor Homes in their search for a Construction Superintendent to help drive growth, with a focus on home building in the Williamsburg area. This role will oversee the build-out of the Signature Home Series and manage all on-site construction activities for 10–12 semi-custom homes at a time. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative professional with a background in construction or renovation who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional results. This is a field-based, Monday–Friday role responsible for new home building projects in New Kent and possibly Yorktown and Hampton in the future.
Responsibilities
Manage entire new home development lifecycle from pre-construction meetings through the completion of the home warranty period.
Schedule sub-contractors and inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Coordinate all site activities and track progress against project goals and objectives.
Ensure that subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers meet all quality and performance criteria expectations.
Communicate effectively between office, client, and site.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and employees.
Continuously identify and solve problems.
Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for all on-site activities.
Qualifications
5+ years of residential construction or renovation experience.
Strong understanding of all phases of residential construction.
Experience managing multiple projects.
Self-starter able to achieve large goals with minimum supervision.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Detail oriented, confident, and assertive with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Works well under pressure able to manage diverse personalities.
Experience with construction or project management software.
