
Job Description
Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. The role is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth, partnering with the GM to manage team members. It requires expert knowledge of automotive system and part knowledge, ability to source parts from multiple channels, and the ability to direct drivers for timely and accurate delivery. This full‑time position is for a Commercial Parts Professional.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for team members
Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, etc.)
Speak and write English fluently (Spanish a plus); effective communication and relationship building with customers, peers, and management
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Understand and execute written, oral, or diagram instructions
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide, whole numbers, common fractions, decimals)
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, including competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
Ability to work assorted days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience A minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability with past experience fulfilling customer transactions. Formal or informal experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals.
Education and Certifications High school diploma or GED. ASE certification preferred but not required.
Physical Demands Walking or standing predominantly; talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle; reach, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds. Requires close, distance, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Typical indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure to weather. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
Compensation 18.15 USD PER HOUR – 19.96 USD PER HOUR
