
Overview
Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Position is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth. Partners with the GM to manage team members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from multiple vendors, and directing drivers to ensure timely delivery. Full time.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for team members
Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Operating inventory systems and store equipment
Parts and automotive system knowledge
Operating POS and parts lookup systems
ASE P2 certification or equivalent
Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability

Ability to multi‑task and remain organized
Essential Job Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.)
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
Understand and execute written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
Complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Basic math accuracy
Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
Work assorted days, evenings, weekends as needed
Prior Experience Minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability in customer transaction fulfillment. Formal or informal team‑lead experience.
Education High school diploma or GED.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE Certification preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands The role requires walking or standing predominately, use of hands and arms, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally 100 pounds. Requires close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Typically inside, occasional outside exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration, moderate noise.
Compensation Position eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
