We are seeking a detail-oriented Labor Compliance Specialist to join their team and play a key role in ensuring compliance with state and federal labor regulations across multiple projects. The Labor Compliance Specialist will oversee labor compliance efforts for all applicable projects, ensuring adherence to prevailing wage laws, certified payroll requirements, and regulatory reporting. This individual will partner closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and governing agencies to maintain full compliance and protect the organization from risk. Key Responsibilities
Oversee labor compliance programs and ensure alignment with federal, state, and local labor regulations Review certified payroll reports for accuracy and compliance with prevailing wage and labor standards Conduct audits, investigations, and compliance reviews of contractor and subcontractor records Manage and track documentation within compliance systems (e.g., LCPtracker, Elation Systems, or similar) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Davis-Bacon, California DIR, and other wage determination requirements Prepare and submit required compliance reports and documentation to relevant agencies Provide training and guidance to internal teams and vendors regarding labor compliance requirements Support internal and external audits and agency inquiries Identify and implement process improvements to streamline compliance monitoring Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field preferred 3-5 years of experience in labor compliance, prevailing wage administration, or related field Strong knowledge of federal and California labor laws (including Davis-Bacon, DIR, and wage determinations) Proficient with Microsoft Excel and compliance reporting tools such as LCPtracker or Elation Systems Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and accuracy Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
