The individual must be able to analyze events of care and identify potential quality issues and should be knowledgeable regarding performance measurement and improvement. In addition, the individual must be able to write and present reports and findings and conclusions in an accurate, succinct and organized manner. Logical, analytic and deductive reasoning skills are required. S/he must be attentive to detail and be able to adhere to work schedules. If not currently competent in word processing, spreadsheets and database management, the individual must become within six months of employment.
The associate will lead and provide support to maintain optimal functioning of the peer review and performance improvement initiatives within the Quality Management department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred
New York State Nurses license required
3 years of clinical experience required; previous Quality Management experience preferred
Must be able to use a personal computer and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (focus on Word and Excel)
Knowledge and use of Just Culture tool and terminology at Montefiore
Must gain basic knowledge of MIDAS system and be able to perform basic functions within 6 months of employment; gained through office training
Organized project management skills and utilize researched tools to present project initiatives (can use industry standard tools)
Gain knowledge of Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDsA) process improvement methodology (on-site within 6 months of employment)
Statistical control analysis; proficient in varied statistical design databases
Ability and comfort with EPIC medical record to perform investigations
