Event Installer Lead / Driver

Quest Events . The Event Installer Lead/Driver is a team and event management, driving, and customer service position, with an emphasis on leadership and accountability. Responsibilities include leading and managing a team of installers, operating box trucks and vans, safely loading and unloading gear, and dropping off/picking up crews to event venues. The Driver will demonstrate safe driving skills, remain customer-focused, and display a strong work ethic. Job Type
Full-time Responsibilities
Lead and participate in sets and strikes at event venues Lead and manage a team of installers Deliver and pick up gear/crew to event venues Prepare for daily scheduled activities in the warehouse and on-site Load and unload company vehicles at the warehouse and on jobsites Complete warehouse tasks after on-site work is finished Deliver outstanding customer service Set and strike drape, furniture, and hardware at event venues (as part of a team of installers) Workload varies from 0-30+ hours per week based on volume and availability Execute consecutive events while maintaining leadership and customer focus Qualifications / Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Prior customer service experience preferred but not required Ability to lead one or more teams of installers and handle multi-job and multi-crew days Understanding of hotel/convention docks Ability to execute consecutive events while handling stresses and challenges Positive interaction with team members and customers; open to constructive criticism Excellent attitude and customer service skills Fluent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English Professional appearance, reliable transportation, and punctuality Problem solving and prioritization on jobsites Ability to handle team dynamics and customer service issues daily Workload varies from 0-30+ hours per week based on volume and availability Driver Requirements
Possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license Prior Box Truck / Van driving experience; able to drive Quest light-duty vans Pass Quest-generated written and practical driving tests Submit to an annual driving record review (No DUIs, etc.) Pass a DOT physical and drug test; able to pass written and practical driving tests Able to drive all company vehicles, including medium-duty trucks (e.g., 16' box truck) Physical Job Requirements
Ability to repeatedly lift 62 lbs and work on a step ladder within weight limits Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Mental Demands
Problem solve and prioritize needs on jobsites Perform simple math calculations and think logically Analyze information and take needed actions to fulfill duties Able to handle traffic stress, team dynamics, and customer service issues daily Compensation
$20 per Hour
