About Us A family‑owned business since 1955, purchased in partnership by Eastern Maine Health Systems and First Atlantic Healthcare in 2013, Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center offers quality care to the elderly in Dover‑Foxcroft, Maine and surrounding areas. Since 1972 the center has operated from a modern 93‑bed facility on the Guilford Road, continually upholding a tradition of excellence in long‑term care.
Program Details Participants will commit to a 26‑week contract (six months) working a minimum of three (3) 12‑hour shifts per weekend. The weekend period is defined as Friday 6:30 AM to Monday 7:00 PM, with two non‑consecutive weekends off allowed.
Responsibilities
Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions.
Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments.
Recording patient vital signs and medical information.
Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
Administering non‑intravenous medications.
Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with the healthcare team.
Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses.

Requirements
AS or BS degree in nursing.
Must be a current registered/licensed nurse in Maine.
CPR certification is required upon hire or to be obtained during orientation (must remain current).
Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effective leadership skills or the ability to develop them.
Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
